Wednesday 6th November our General Manager, Jo Clark, had the extraordinary privilege of representing the Friends of Conquest Hospital at the Houses of Parliament on at the invitation of Helena Dollimore for Hastings and Rye. She had a tour of Parliament in a small group and saw our government at work discussing the Employment Rights Bill in the House of Commons and the Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill in the House of Lords. She also had the opportunity to listen to music performed by two military bands.
“It was an honour to be invited in recognition of the crucial work that the #friendsofconquesthospital does to support our local hospital, and without doubt a bit of a pinch me moment to be in a place that holds so much of our nation’s history and so much of our future. Thank you so much Helena for the opportunity and for your recognition and support of the Friends of Conquest.”
