Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Friends of Conquest Hospital was held on 14 March 2026. It reflected a year of significant impact and progress.

Attendees heard how over £145,000 was invested in vital hospital equipment, including advanced surgical, diagnostic and resuscitation technology, while trading income continued to cover running costs so that donations could be directed to patient care.

Members unanimously approved updates to the charity’s Constitution to better reflect its work supporting both hospital patients and people receiving care in the wider community, alongside the introduction of a new, more inclusive membership scheme.

Reports highlighted the continued development of hospital gardens, arts and music initiatives, and an expanding programme of fundraising events and volunteering opportunities.

The meeting concluded with the approval of the annual accounts, confirmation of strong financial reserves, and the re‑election of the Chair and Trustees, with thanks extended to staff, volunteers, members and supporters for their continued commitment.
