How well do you sleep? Get involved in sleep research at ESHT

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is proud to be a research‑active organisation, committed to improving patient care through high‑quality, evidence‑based studies. Right now, we’re supporting an important Sleep Research Study (sponsored by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust) – and we need your help to boost recruitment and make a real difference.

Why this research matters

Jo-Anne Taylor, Head of Research at ESHT commented “Sleep plays a crucial role in our physical, emotional, and cognitive wellbeing. When sleep is disrupted, it can impact anything from mood and concentration to long‑term conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. Despite this, sleep difficulties are often underreported and undertreated.”

By taking part in this study, you’ll be helping researchers:

  • Increase understanding of sleep patterns and sleep‑related conditions
  • Improve how health professionals identify and support people with sleep problems
  • Shape future treatments and services across the NHS
  • Build stronger evidence to improve patient outcomes in hospitals and in the community
  •

Research in hospitals is essential – every study helps us learn more about the health challenges people face and how we can provide better, safer, more personalised care. Your experience can genuinely inform change.

By completing the survey, you’ll be contributing to research that could help thousands of people now and in the future.

Join the study now: Minder Health Management – Sleep Attitudes Survey (selecting East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust when prompted)

It only takes a few minutes, and every response helps build a clearer picture of sleep health across our community.
