Supporting your local hospital
The Friends of Conquest Hospital are dedicated to improving the patient experience at the Conquest Hospital. Through fundraising efforts, we provide additional medical equipment, services, and comforts to enhance the care and treatment patients receive.
Our mission is to support the outstanding work of the NHS and to ensure the hospital continues to be a vital part of our community.
Our 2026 Equipment Appeal aims to raise £101,000 to fund essential medical equipment that will directly benefit patients and families across Hastings and Rother.
Working closely with clinical teams at the Conquest Hospital, we have identified three priority projects where charitable funding can make an immediate and lasting difference:
- 12 Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) cots for vulnerable newborn babies requiring specialist care.
- 30 Holter heart monitors to help cardiology patients be monitored safely at home and reduce pressure on hospital beds.
- A Maternity Theatre Resuscitaire, providing life-saving support for newborn babies who need immediate assistance after birth.
Our ongoing projects include a live music programme, and the Art in Healthcare programme designed to uplift patients’ spirits, and Conquest 21, a revitalisation project for the hospital’s courtyards, aimed at creating welcoming spaces for patients, visitors, and staff.
We operate two shops at the hospital and offer a ward trolley service, all made possible thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers.
By contributing to our cause, you directly support your local hospital and help improve the care and facilities available.
Over the last three decades, we have raised nearly £4 million for equipment such as an MRI, laparoscopy and gynaecology systems, and additional items like specialist chairs, training mannequins, and emergency toiletry kits.
We bridge the gap between NHS funding and the needs of Conquest Hospital to improve the diagnosis, care and treatment provided to our community.
Together, we work to make the Conquest Hospital the best it can be for everyone.
